When I think of family photos in Maine, I think of capturing the magnificence of each of the seasons. Think of those dreamy summer photos of the families and extended families taken on the coast of Maine, or family photos with a beautiful fall foliage backdrop. The following list includes my favorite family photographers that service the Greater Portland and Southern Maine region.
While each on this list are a great option if you are looking for a family photographer, many of these photographers have some additional talents that I wanted to share with you and I have listed them as their “specialties”. I hope this list helps some families to find their perfect family photographer. I realize local photography talent extends well beyond this list, however, I am rather confident that if you do select a family photographer from this list that you will be in great hands!
Amanda Huebner Photography– Scarborough, Maine. Amanda is a dream to work with. She has a great eye for capturing families in their best light, but also is a wonderful person. She’s one of my top recommendations for capturing memories with your family, whether on the beach or even during a family gathering. Carrie Pellerin Photography– Saco, Maine. Carrie is a photographer that I have been watching since 2023 and I am obsessed with her work. It’s honestly no wonder she has the devoted clients that have stuck with her through the years. She’s also a lovely person and will make sure you get beautiful photos of your family. Jessica Uraneck Photography– Freeport, Maine. If you want a relaxed process for your photos, Jessica might just be your photographer. You don’t have to worry about everything being perfect, or the challenges that come with planning photos with children. Maine Tinker Photography– Freeport, Maine. As a special education teacher and mom of 4, Siobhan’s fan -club describes her as especially kind and patient. Maine Tinker stands out to me due to her “Maine Exposure” project where she focuses on people with intellectual diversities with the goal being “to help tell their story of love and joy and showing likeness vs differences”. Meg Hatch Photography– Windham, Maine. Meg stands out as a family photographer because she can make anyone feel comfortable during their session.
