Kids’ Pick Awards
The Kids’ Pick Awards, launched in 2024 by Real Maine Mom, focuses on recognizing the best kid-friendly businesses in Greater Portland. The awards process is driven by the community, with local families weighing in through nominations and voting. Nominations occur in January, followed by voting in February, and the winning businesses from each category are announced and celebrated at a special event in the spring at a local venue. This event wouldn’t be possible without the support of the local kid-friendly business community and the involvement of local families. In its inaugural year, the Kids’ Pick Awards saw tremendous engagement, with over 13,000 verified votes cast, highlighting the strong connection between the businesses and the families they serve.
