Intro
Real Maine Mom began as a lifestyle blog for moms in 2019 and has since grown into a trusted local resource guide for life with kids in Maine. The truth is, you don’t have to be a mom to enjoy our content—you just need to appreciate a mom’s perspective. Our focus is all about making the most of life with kids in Maine, especially in the Greater Portland area.
Meet the Team
Lisa, Managing Editor, Owner & Founder

Hi, I’m Lisa, and I am the owner and founder of Real Maine Mom. I’m a SAHM of 2 in Greater Portland. I’m originally from Central Maine, a graduate of St. Joseph’s College of Maine (both Grad & Undergrad) with about 12 years experience in Web, Social Media & Marketing. My husband and I moved away to the Boston area for several years but returned home to Maine after our first daughter was born. We believe whole-heartedly that there is no better place than Maine to raise a family. We enjoy exploring the outdoors and get to the beach and the mountains as often as we can!
Fun fact about me: both of my girls were born on their due dates! Let this be a testament to how reliable and timely I am as a person… well, before kids anyways!
Lindsay, Assistant Editor & Events Manager

Lindsay joined the team early in 2024 and quickly made an impact by playing a key role in launching Real Maine Mom’s inaugural Kids’ Pick Awards event. Following her leadership in implementing this event and others during her first year, her position evolved into our Events Manager.
“Hi there! I am Lindsay, a Mom of two kiddos and full time SAHM. My husband and I moved our family from Boston to Maine about a year ago and we love it! We have a long history of time spent in Maine and once our second kiddo was born, we made the move.
I graduated from Boston University and worked in residential real estate in Boston for almost 20 years; where does the time go!
I was born and raised in Canada and love a good adventure. Since moving to Maine, my kids have opened a whole new world of indoor and outdoor play and exploring. I am an advocate of mind and body wellness and keeping busy!
I am excited to be working alongside Lisa to bring community events and offerings to other parents in Portland and surrounding areas. See you around town!”
